I am always updated with latest happenings when it comes to gadgets. Thanks to IceClimbingMonkey who is always one of the first people to tip me with what’s new.
I just couldn’t believe that Apple has been doing a lot of overhauling in their products. While the heat that the iPhone brought has not yet fully reached the Philippines, here they come again with their latest hype, this time their famous music player, the iPod. I wouldn’t talk about the iPhone since almost everyone knows about it already. Sadly, it isn’t in the country yet but let’s just see what this new Apple products have to offer.
iPod Touch
-This is basically the iPhone minus the phone, so we’re left with a touch-screen music player only. This costs as low as $299 (15,000 Pesos) and is available with 8GB or 16GB storage. It comes with WiFi for music downloading. That said, I think it would still be more practical to buy the iPhone instead.
iPod Classic
– The classic one comes with 80 or 160 GB storage which is pretty BIG, as in BIG for a music player! I don’t think I’d be able to use up all its capacity though. Anyway, this classic which now has a sleeker design costs as low as $249 (12,000 Pesos).
iPod Nano
-This iPod caught my attention because as you can see, it’s really cute – thanks to those brilliant colors! Anyway the Nanos are shipped with 4 or 8 GB of storage and costs as low as $149 (8,000 Pesos). I think the sleeker design now is better than the previous Nano. Plus the colors don’t seem to look as shocking as before (well, we have to see it in actual).
iPod Shuffle
-Costing $79, the 1GB Shuffle also has color variants as the Nano. If you are on a budget and have this thing for random music, then this may be suitable enough for you.
Final Word
I’m not sure but there’s just something missing that leaves me wondering after seeing the iPods then and now. Where is the FM radio?
