Stripes are slowly getting out of the scene because there is a new shirt design coming your way – diamond (Argyle) prints for shirts!
These days, it’s becoming more and more common for men’s shirts to be heavily printed like these but still manage to look hip at the same time. So I guess in a few weeks time everyone will have diamond prints on their shirts. Let’s just see how this trend goes.
Thanks to Kiro for providing the exact term “Argyle” to these diamond prints.

Haha yeah I’ve seen those kind of prints na before, sa mga cotton vests na ipinapatong sa polo or sa mga sweaters, hehe.. mukang okay nga yan! Try ko maghanap pareng Chris gusto ko color blue! Hahaha! Napadaan lang! :0)
The design is called “argyle” or
“argyll” from a branch of the Scottish clan of Campbell, from whose tartan the design was adapted. It’s a classic pattern that keeps on coming back. Actually one of my faves and it’s a cool design for socks. A must have keeper.
marky – yea meron din akong blue hehehe.
kiro – thanks for the info.. you are correct, it’s also called argyle designs 🙂 it’s back and it’s everywhere.
hey guys, came across your blog and decided to put in my two cents.
argyle shirts and socks have always been a classic favorite amongst the fashion elite yet the latest craze with this new-old pattern has, for the past few months, been its vests. and no not the simple cotton woven, vintage design, single color diamonds but a much more modern, v-neck, sleeveless, cotton/wool blend fabric.
here’s a little link to show you guys what i’m talking about:

they go well with plain or lightly striped dress shirts but NEVER with sweaters though.

I feel sad, they have finally bastardized the classy Argyle. Soon the masses will be wearing it, defiling the culture that is prepdom. But when the phase has ended, the preppy ones will still hold on to the Argyle pattern.
If your looking for vest and you are just within baguio. try to go in porta vaga building. HALLWAY is the name of the shop. Its is korean store. I bought one vest for me. it cost 640 that time when they are 20% off. If you know where to buy knitted vest with cheap price. kindly post it.
