^ Well because it's "Politics, Philosophy and Religion", which is boring and time-wasting for most people. Who wants to get too serious in controversial topics like this?

Culturally speaking, being a happy-go-lucky people (which I am not saying is bad by itself), Filipinos would rather avoid issues, and continue with the daily merry-making. You know, ostrich syndrome, pretending that issues don't exist.

^ True, because the problems are already too complicated, and discussions could waste a lot of energy, because most likely, nothing would still come out of these.

But I'm talking in the more general case that the Pinoy populace would rather do what they do daily (ex. watch TV*, gossip, gamble, drink) and whine about the difficulties of life, all the while expecting the government to provide for their needs.

* which in some way is an evidence of what the videos are saying
