dami ngang pwdeng maging negative na interpretasyon sa bagong slogan..

don.bagsit

We can use the slogan...nasa atin din if gagawa tayo ng positive or negative interpretation of it.

Ang maganda sa kanya endless yung possibilities...yun nga lang pwedeng babuyin...

Nasa atin din naman yun kung mas papansinin natin yung nega...pag natuwa sila gagawa sila ng madami pang nega  ???

ahhh uu nga no

didnt look it that way..tama iba nga naman din ang prosti satin eh

kulet..its more fun nga talaga  :o

pong

It's more fun in the Philippines because...

1) ...the citizens here admire your language more than their own. We are damning to pay a fortune so as to ascertain our grammar will be way better than Americans care about theirs. We will even be more damning to pay a fortune just to look way better than most Americans who are getting fatter. It is at the expense of ignoring Math, literature, philosophy and common sense.

2) ...we have an extensive variety of cuisines. We have spicy, pungent and even bland tastes. The cheaper, the higher the risk of contracting cholera or gastroenteritis. The more expensive, the higher the risk of having a heart attack for charging you an unreasonable service charge otherwise known as VAT.

3) ...we have more malls, parking lots and condominiums than public parks, museums, cultural centers. If Henry Sy a devil incarnate could have wanted to demolish the Luneta Park to build another megamall, he might have done it.

4) ...we respect each other. In fact, it is not illegal to poke fun at disabled persons, ugly people having a chance of love, and the assumption that intelligent people are somehow neurotic — or weird. It's so much fun having a lot of stereotypes, really.

5) ...we have vast forest lands. It's so vast as long as we can export you our world-famous narra furniture.

6) ...we play good music. Yes, good music. It was sung 25 years ago and it will be sung again.

7) ...we are living in a perfect climate. In a perfect political climate — always predictable: the treachery, the obvious fabrication of propaganda, and the monarchical set-up.

8) ...there is an accessible public transport system. You can ride and get off the bus wherever you may want. If you please, even in the middle of a flyover.

9) ...the policemen are here to serve and protect. Not you.

10) ...you get the thrill of having survived in a frustrated murder orchestrated everyday!

More fun in the Philippines? DOT blames abducted tourists for ignoring advisories

The Department of Tourism on Firday seemingly laid the blame for the kidnapping of two Europeans in Tawi-Tawi squarely on the victims' shoulders.

In a press statement issued late Friday, the DOT stressed that "the issuance of travel advisories is part of the regular functions of embassies in line with ensuring the safety and security of their citizens in a foreign country. For the Philippines, advice against travel to some parts of Mindanao has been constant and common." The DOT then added: "The Tawi-Tawi incident is considered unfortunate and could have been avoided had the visitors taken necessary precautions many European tourists usually take in heed of these advisories."

Police have identified the kidnap victims as Elwold Horn, 52, of Holland; and Lorenzo Vinciguerra, 47, of Switzerland. They were abducted on Wednesday by unidentified armed elements while riding a boat back to the capital of Bongao, after a bird-watching trip. Their guide, Ivan Sarenas, managed to escape by jumping into the sea.

The DOT expressed confidence that tourists would continue to flock to the country despite a new travel advisory issued by the United Kingdom.

"The Philippines remains an ideal destination with foreign individuals and groups continuing to arrive. So far, no cancellations have been made," the agency said.

"Gleaning from the preceding year's experience, the series of travel advisories on specific areas and isolated areas did not deter tourists from visiting the country. Fortunately, visitor arrivals reached a record high of 3.9 million, 4.6 percent higher than the target of 3.7 million or 11.2 percent more than 3.5 million in 2010. Moreover, major markets continued to sustain double-digit gains," the DOT added.

The agency said it hoped the kidnap victims would be released soon, "with the aggressive efforts mounted by national and local authorities."

Following the recent abduction in Tawi-Tawi, the United Kingdom updated its travel advisory to the Philippines on February 1, warning its citizens not to travel "to southwest Mindanao and the Sulu archipelago because of on-going terrorist activity and clashes between the military and insurgent groups. We advise against all but essential travel to the remainder of Mindanao for the same reason."

The advisory posted on the web site of the UK Embassy in Manila added: "There is a threat from kidnapping in the Philippines, particularly in the south. Kidnapping could occur anywhere, including on coastal and island resorts and dive boats and sites in the Sulu Sea. On 1 February two foreign nationals were kidnapped from Parangan in the township of Panglima Sugala in the Tawi Tawi island province. On 5 December 2011, an Australian citizen was kidnapped in Zamboanga Sibugay."

The DOT, citing the UK Embassy, said most of the visits of its citizens to the Philippines were nevertheless "trouble-free".

The UK is a top source for travelers by the Philippines. Data from the DOT showed travelers from the UK made 16,377 visits to Luzon, 14,629 to Visayas, and 1,225 to Mindanao, in the first half of 2011.

The agency's data on the Regional Distribution of Travelers also indicated that most Europeans visited the Nation Capital Region, Region 5 (Bicol), Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 7 (Central Visayas), and the Cordillera Administrative Region in 2010 and January – June 2011. This, the DOT said, indicated that most Europeans do follow travel advisories and avoid areas in Mindanao that are considered dangerous.

The agency added that combined visits from the Netherlands and Switzerland reached 47,036 for Luzon; 20,903 for Visayas; and 2,423 for Mindanao in 2010. For January-June 2011, Luzon received 18,237; Visayas – 11,511; and Mindanao – 795.

The DOT is targetting 4.2 million visitors to the country this year, especially with the rollout of its new brand campaign "It's More Fun in the Philippines," and an improvement in infrastructure and tourist facilities.

parang di nagiisip sa implications ng sasabihin nila amp!

Tingin ko successful naman yung latest campaign ng DoT. Naging bukambibig ng madaming bloggers at media personality ang new slogan nila. I guess the end justifies the means.

Sabi nga sa song na "Hey Jude"-- "take a sad song and make it better"? I guess yan ang ginawa ng DoT when they adopted the Switzerland campaign :)
