There will always be cheaper alternatives.

fit always comes first before anything else and it should conform properly with the physical aesthetics. di ibig sabihin pang slim lng bagay ang damit. para sa akin mas bilib ako sa mga taong may katabaan at di katangkaran na mahusay magdala ng damit and able to transcend their look na leaner and taller tingnan. it's the everyday tao ang namimili ng damit and not the gifted A&F like models.

kadalasan naman kahit sa ibang bansa basta may pera and gusto mag flaunt ng wealth relies sa brands na kilala at kita agad ng tatak. and i hate clothes with tacky labels and monograms. para sa akin luxury  should be discreet. i attended a party last december sa pinas, kahit nakapikit madaling identify ang mga suot ng mga socialites such as the ubiquitous BIG H belts, gucci monogram sneaks not to discount the ladies with their pradas, hermes, chanel... ako the usual i go under the radar, my date and our friends are happily taking our pictures at napagkamalan pa ko ni tessa prieto na photographer where i oblige to take their picture. isa sa mga nagulat ako na where i thought cool magdala ng damit was freddy panicucci of linea italia na sloppy and i swear a size bigger ang blazer.

there's only a handful of affordable cheap brands that has good fit out of the box mag fit man ng tama very rare naman na maganda rin quality ng tela. the thing with high end labels and im not talking abt penguin, lacoste, 7fam, polo, A/X, regular burberry line, D&G or the usual mall brands.... high end stuff has pinned the right fit and great fabric. excellent example dior homme jeans. you can get the usual levis or even the cheaper brands pero fit binabayaran mo sa dh plus na lang kung preferred japanese dior than italian for being dry selvedge than tacky as f*ck distressed hybrid elastic soft denim. i'm big boned, wide shoulder, thick thighs and butt. pero DH jeans fits perfectly na di mo isipin na malaki thighs and calves ko, and that's what you pay for. don't get me started with levis, their 511s is notorious for diaper butt.

anyways my protocol is good great  fitting cheap clothes are better than well known expensive mall brand thrash.... for example assuming both parehas na great fit i prefer my $5 f21 tees, P400 bench dry selvedge and $25 oldstock GAT than penguin polo shirt, 7 for all mankind jeans and lacoste shoes...... but the best sleeper porma is wearing high end labels without anyone noticing or able to ID the pieces like these:

tees, jeans, sneakers

hoodies, tees, jeans, sneakers

kaya I would recommend guys to just keep on trying articles from as many brands as possible even if wala sa plano yung bumili. Kumbaga, may mga brands na mas hiyang yung shape ng katawan mo and it's unique for everyone. For Hiei, he's found his holy grail of jeans in Dior. Because I'm not thick boned, It might not fit me just as well. Bench denim doesn't fit me well either.

after being able to try out all sorts of jeans, I've settled with just a couple of brands as the ones that fit me best. Each brand is unique and so are our body shapes and sizes -- just find one that fit you best, regardless of price point.

Another thing, you could get a tailor. Kahit local/high street/high end brands pa yan. GET A TAILOR.

Partly true. But if you have the money to burn for expensive and better quality clothes, why not?
