Still, I would say it gives hope, however bleak it may be. And being hopeful gives one the will to live on.

On stem cell research, help me understand. I just read Wikipedia on the definition of embryonic stem cells, and it says these are from the blastocyst of an early-stage embryo which is 4-5 days post fertilization. Harvesting from this fertilized embryo results in its death. If my understanding is correct, you are implying that causing the death of an embryo of 4-5 days is already considered killing/abortion and is immoral/evil.
