my suggestion:

get to meet each one first. its too much to ask for people to come and would actually demand them to participate into any sort of activities.

its better to just hang out first. get to know each person. put the barriers down and break the ice. once you get to know people (and probably exchange numbers etc), its much easier to organize a possibly bigger meet up with lined-up events.

it doesnt matter if most are "big boys". remember this may be an asset soon. so come and meet new friends.
