Of course not.  Basketball is a sport preference. Sa pilipinas kasi uso kasi among guys yung basketball.
But not playing it does not diminish your sexuality.

Not exactly... siguro dito lang sa Pinas nagging stereotype ang Basketball = Lalaki. I played basketball when I was a child then nakabali ako ng buto ng kalaro ko so I stopped. Naging volleyball ba ang main sport ko. Everyone who knew that I am playing volleyball asked me if I'm gay. WTF. Kahit pamilya ko (esp my dad) sinasabi na tigilan ko ang volleyball and go back to basketball kasi daw mas manly. I can give reasons kung bakit mas "manly" ang volleyball than basketball... No offense to those who like playing basket pero I think na everyone can shoot a ball into the ring... nung bata nga tayo we shoot multi-shape prisms sa hole na may parehas na shape eh. Basketball is just an aerobic version of it.
