What is the easiest way to remove pimple scars given that they are already there?

† harry101 †

how about diamond peeling? i think it can remove scars because it removes dead skin.

no.. it only improves the condition of scars.. after ilang sessions di na obvious ang scars.. yeah it removes dead skin pero scars are damaged skin tissues.. sabay post ng scientific and medical explanation -> go kuya kilo.. LoL! bwahaha!

yep, pimple scars are hardly reversible.
depende din kung anong cause at klase ng scars:

Causes of Acne Scars:
1) Scars Caused by Loss of Tissue
ice-pick scars, superficial or deep scars, follicular macular atrophy(somewhat like whiteheads that didn't fully develop)
2) Scars Caused by Increased Tissue Formation - raised thickened tissue such as keloids.

here are some known procedures to treat acne scars:

Collagen injection, Autologous fat transfer, Dermabrasion, Microdermabrasion, Laser Treatment, Skin Surgery, Skin grafting

angelo

depende kung sinong derma.. kung may health card ka, use it.
best option lang talga yung derma. pero shempre, kung gusto mo mag "self medicate ka"

pm me bro if you need a recommendation for a good derma. free consulation lang as what angelo mentioned if you have a health card.
the scars naman na naging problema ko 2 years ago were not caused by pimples but by chicken pox. bad trip nga kasi saka pa ako nagkaroon ng bulutong kelan matanda na. several sessions of chemical peels and diamond peel lang ang solusyon. regarding pimples naman, i dont have scars but sometimes pimples marks lang which are easily reversible.

Hi,

Better ask your derma regarding the dermaroller treatment... it is the best acne scar treatment.... it usually cost 25 thou and above depending on the clinic.... but that is if your scars are deep... but if its just dark scars a peeling will do the job.... im planning to have a derma roller treatment... im just saving up for it

jeku

for acne scars, my derma uses this peel, parang kinagat ka ng langgam pag nilagay sayong scar... it takes several weeks bago makikita yung results, effective... kasi tumutubo ung skin with that kind of peel...300 per session, once a week, then pag maganda na yung scar 4 sessions ng diamond peel na ang kasunod tapos kikinis na yung surface ng face...

Ako malapit nang matapos...

There is this procedure called TCA Cross or Spot TCA. It is  a highly effective procedure of removing acne scars (from mild to moderate acne scars), and treatments can vary.

TCA (trichloracetic acid ) is injected into the acne scar using a small needle. The acid works to increase the collagen production in your skin. Since the acid was released directly into the acne scar, the collagen increase will cause the scar to lift to the surface of your skin.  This one is very tedious since you have to do it on every scar. There is an at-home method (DIY - Do it yourself Method) available for TCA Cross. However, it is highly recommended that you allow a qualified dermatologist to perform the procedure since TCA Cross does have the possibility to produce further scarring if it is not professionally applied.

The efficacy of the procedure depends on the concentration of TCA used. Its is advisable to use 65%-100% TCA for optimal results.

If this is the procedure your derma is doing then I must say P300-P400 per session is very cheap. Here in Manila, the procedure costs around P1000-3000 per session.

Who is your derma by the way?  ;)

mahal nga!
nung college days ko back in the day there in Davao, my derma was Dra. Padilla-Evangelista (yung kapatid ni Robin Padilla).  :)

I read the posts above over and over again. Hindi ko talaga maintindihan.  ;D

Could someone enlighten me?

My case:
Nagpatreat ako last year sa acne vulgaris ko. Ngayon ok na wala nang acne, minsan minsan meron 1 or 2 pimples din like "normal".  :D

Binigyan ako ng mga papakinis products and bleaching cream ng Dr. ko, kaya lang hindi effective.

Nag try ako ng mga soaps na supposed to be nakaka"light" ng mga scars kaso hindi rin effective.

The only options left to me is ung mga "peeling treatments". Ano ba ung ok na hindi masakit na mapulang humihinog ung mukha?  lol

Bleaching cream does not remove acne scars.
As for Hydroquinone, it is a treatment for hyperpigmentation problems. It is a skin lightening solution which is ideal to treat melasma (dark skin discoloration).

For scar treatment, depende kasi maraming klaseng scars (e.g. pimple scars, iced-pick scars, deep pitted scars, pock marks) in which may reversible at irreversible . in my experience, reversible scars can only be undone by the following:

1. microdermadrasions such as Diamond Peel and Chemical Peels (Regular TCA Peel/Spot TCA Peel/TCA Cross Peel, Glycolic Peel, PCA Peel.
2. Intense pulsed light (IPL)
3. Laser Resurfacing such as: Pixel, Fraxel, Sciton
4. little by little, subsicion
5. Dermarolling.
