Wala naman silang required na card or something for payouts? or depende na ba iyon sa magiging employer mo?

No. Usually money transfer o kaya mag request sila na mag open ka ng new bank account.

Tried upwork before and i remember making a singe page website for 40usd for a client. Never again! Hahaha.

Since I've tried working freelance about 2 years ago. Share lang ako ng ilang tips kung okay lang mga sir.

1. Make your online portfolio aside from LinkedIn! Lalo na sa mga developers dyan. #1 na tinitingnan to. Lalo na mga recent projects mo.

2. Build your network. Mahirap mag start mag freelance TBH lalo na pag wala kang network or connections. I started sa mga referrals before aside sa upwork. And from there unti unti may napopost na sa portfolio which means more opportunity na makahanap ng client.

3. Prepare yourself (1). Ihanda mo sarili mo na maging all around (somehow).

Aside from the actual service na ipprovide mo for your client, prepare yourself rin na maging:

- Sales / Negotiator (proposal, quotation, etc)
- Project manager (handle and divide the frequency of work loads plus sandamakmak na revisions)
- Account manager (keeping the communication and quality of work as well as answering queries)
- Sales manager (bentahan si client ng pastillas or gluthatione pero syempee joke lang. :P iconvince si client na mag avail ng maintenance packages after matapos yun scope of service na nasa proposal, if applicable).

4. Prepare yourself (2) - financially. Jackpot talaga pag nakakuha ng project then mabait si client.

Pero WALANG FOREVER!

As much as possible - save up! Para rin yan sa mga idle times mo na wala kang client or project.

Yan lang naisip ko so far. Any comments? Violent reactions?
