He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Today's Scripture Reading: Mark 8:31-38
Jesus Predicts His Death
31 He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. 32 He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."
The Way of the Cross
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."
Today's Quote
Let nothing disturb thee;
Let nothing dismay thee:
All thing pass;
God never changes.
Patience attains
All that it strives for.
He who has God
Finds he lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

v34 says take up the cross and follow me... have you taken yours lately or are we the one who become the cross to others? humility is the key
Today's Verse
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
— John 20:19 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
"Overjoyed" would be an understatement! After having every dream shattered, now they share the unspeakable joy of seeing what was not possible and experiencing what was unthinkable. The power available to them is now unlimited and their future is without boundary. Jesus, their Teacher, is Lord of all and their future is in his hands.
My Prayer...
I praise you, O mighty God, for raising Jesus from the dead and for the assurance that I will one day be with you and with all those who love you. Thank you for doing what is not possible and giving me faith in what is unimaginable. Please use this power to conform my character to your will and to the example of Christ. In Christ Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
1 John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
Today's Verse
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
— Romans 12:9 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Genuine love involves hate. Genuine love means that we hate evil. We detest its creeping into our hearts and ruining our relationships. We abhor its effects on those we love. We are repelled by the eternal destruction it causes in those whose lives are tender, or weak, or wavering. So the very best thing we can do for those we love is to cling to what is good and stay far away from evil and wickedness.
Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. ...John 12:24
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
--Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers" (Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV).

As he prepares the Israelites for the Promised Land, Moses is giving a much-needed perspective. When they enter the Land and prosper, unless they learn from the testing of the wilderness, they will use the very blessing of God to turn away from Him. How about us? When thing seem easy and our needs are met, do we seek Him the way that we did when we were lacking? Realize that the same God who tested the Israelites will test our hearts as well. May we pass that test well.

Psalm 56
1Be merciful unto me, O God; for man would swallow me up: All the day long he fighting oppresseth me.
2Mine enemies would swallow me up all the day long; For they are many that fight proudly against me.
3What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.
4In God (I will praise his word), In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do unto me?
5All the day long they wrest my words: All their thoughts are against me for evil.
6They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, They mark my steps, Even as they have waited for my soul.
7Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.
8Thou numberest my wanderings: Put thou my tears into thy bottle; Are they not in thy book?
9Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call: This I know, that God is for me.
10In God (I will praise `his' word), In Jehovah (I will praise `his' word),
11In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can man do unto me?
12Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thank-offerings unto thee.
13For thou hast delivered my soul from death: `Hast thou' not `delivered' my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living?
13But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness, Answer me in the truth of thy salvation.

Matthew 10:28-33
28And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father: 30but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:23-24
But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

Share ko lang dito ang shinare ko sa church one sunday:
The parable of ten Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
Summary:
First Servant-
Given 5 talents; he immediately invest and work on it and increased 5 more.
Second Servant-
Given 2 talents; also worked on it and increased 2 more.
Third Servant-
Given 1 talent; just hid it. did not increase.
After a long time the Master returned,
praised the first and second servant because they are faithful with what was entrusted to them.
while the third servant was called slothful and evil. and did not want to work on what his master has entrusted to him.
instead of investing the talent, he just hid it. so it did not grow. because of this, his master said that he deserved to be cast out into darkness where where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
We are all given different talents, some have many some have few. It is up to us how we use them, God expect us to use them for His glory. For if we will not it will be taken away from us.
"29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
— James 1:12 (NIV)
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your law.
PSALM 119:18
I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
— Philippians 1:20 (NIV)
Watch ye , for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning; lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
Mark 13:35, 36
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
"Your ways, God, are holy.

"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."
