....I know as of the moment, many of us still couldn't afford to buy a new house and lot. I entitled the thread "Dream house", a type of house that we want to have in the future and not just a dream that's impossible to reach.  ;D I think it is clear for everybody already.

I'll start...

-I want a 2 storey-house single detached to have more ventilation
-3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 small bedroom downstairs. why 3? master bedroom and 2 bedrooms for kids. 1 small bedroom for guest or maid's quarter downstairs
-2 toilet and baths upstairs: one inside master bedroom (with bath tub) and one common for the 2 bedroom
-1 toilet downstairs
- terrace on the 2nd floor accessed thru the family room/living room
- garage for 2 cars
- I want a high ceiling both ground and 2nd floor
- 1 entertainment room downstairs where my plasma 52" LCD is displayed  ;D
- another small room downstairs for library/study
- 1 area for my billiards table
- 1 living room without the TV and speakers only sofas, tables, etc.
- an area for my bar (liquors, wines, etc) usually at the back of the stairs
- kitchen and dining room side by side
- landscaped garden outside
- decent steel gate with Italian design fence

I don't know how much this gonna cost me but these are the major things that I want. How about yours?  :D

mahirap mag maintain pag may pool ka, gastos na sa kuryente gastos pa sa tubig at maintenance ng mga pumps at motors ng pool.  :D

hmmm location siguro sa may Newport beach, CA
sa may Balboa's Island (kaso million mga to haha)
or somewhere sa Seattle, WA area sa tabi ng dagat.

2 storey house rin with guest house
huge garden,
3 bed rooms (for 2 kids, me and wife), 3 bathroom isa sa may master bedroom and one common area.
may covered porch kung saan may bar and screen.
There will be a den area where all the entertainment stuff goes to.
Gym area.
laundry area.

hmmm what if sa pinas? what ideal location you want your house built? ako I'm thinking of Baguio for rest house nga lang and residential house sa Antipolo Rizal at least medyo malapit sa Manila at medyo mas malamig ang climate dun.  :D

I actually have a sketch of my dream house..

hopefully it'll be in a small county in Sweden.

Three-storey
- 1 master's bedroom, with scenic view, spacious comfort room, hemispherical tub at the center
with movable roof panel to reveal night sky
- 2 bedrooms for my kids
- guest room at the attic, filled with game boards, projector, activity area, etc
with a wall-library (one huge wall span filled with books)
- with secret rooms and hallways, escape routes
- theatre room, filled with all my fave movies
- top-of-the-line kitchen (i love to cook)

design is something contemporary, high ceiling, wide windows

i also want a large garden where i will plant my own veggies and fruits
plus artificial lagoon

nice. why sweden? are you there right now?

that's highly possible :) ganoon ang resthouse ng ninang namin sa tagaytay, except for the pool... though not actually a farm pero a large garden with its nursery sa may bandang likod... ganda rin pagkakatago ng bahay coz its situated lower than the street. di na kelangan ng super taas na bakod dahil pababa ang slope ng driveway leading to their home.

dreamhouse?
- parehas rin na nakakarami sa atin, gusto ko rin sa may tagaytay with ample lot para rin sa farming to keep me busy sa pagtanda :) style? probably an eclectic mixture of Mediterranean and rustic elements.

something possible in the near future...
- renovate our home sa pinas, i'm looking on the modern minimalist approach... here are my plans on top of my head:

1. open floor design that perfectly flows from living room, dining then kitchen
2. Kitchen: granite slab counter-tops... built-in cabinets either white or cherry wood finish... all stainless appliance built-in with the cabinets.
3. 2 full baths: synthetic granite, tubs and top mounted sink bowl.
4. Rooms including master's: will have the same minimalist theme to keep it simple as possible but with the hotel jive.
