wouldn't that count as part of the country's case?

hi janjan! :-) exactly, it just but a PART of the country's state. a nation is not defined by its ills and cancers, but rather, by its people, culture, politics, religiosity, etc. A conglomeration of every contributory factor to simply say it.

hi caloy! IMHO, it does not justify the fact that there is still hope for the Philippines only because there are hopeful Filipinos. Hope will always be a cliche until it is being realized...

but isn't hope intangible itself? when you realize hope, it would not be hope anymore. fulfillment? achievement? success? name whatever you want to call it. but hope? it is a drive. it is a ray of light in a dark and gloomy room. the presence of hopeful Filipinos would not make the Philippines hopeless. :-)

carpediem

It is not enough to just have hope however. There must also be action. Hoping just for the sake of not being hopeless is pitiful.

I somewhat agree with this carpediem. A drive not put into action is really pathetic. However, I would have to commend those who individually hope for the Philippines. It is a good start. And if hope is genuine, it will definitely translate into positive action. :-)

hopeless are for those who do not dream anymore that someday it will be better

hopeless are for those who have no faith

hopeless are for those who don't trust

I remember the song GOD OF THE CITY by Michael W. Smith

Very inspirational song para sa ating bansa..
lagi namin kinakanta sa church..
its like a declaration song.

GREATER THINGS HAVE YET TO COME
GREATER THINGS ARE STILL TO BE DONE IN THIS CITY..
