okay! it's been a while. back to business...

december 2012 (or probably early 2013 for us because of MMFF) oscar bait movies time!
Django Unchained - Quentin Tarantino's next full feature. Looks like he's in good working relationship with actor Chritoph Waltz (Col. Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds, his oscar winning performance) and Samuel L. Jackson (of Pulp Fiction era). Also one of the topbilled in the cast, Leonardo Dicaprio. But this is not the only movie DiCaprio is starring this season...

The Great Gatsby - by Baz Luhrman (Moulin Rouge). I think I've mentioned this movie before in here when it was still in the works of writing. Leo will play the titular role of Gatsby. Tobey Maguire (of course you know him) and Carey Mulligan (An Education, Wall Street 2) are also in the cast. Based on the book by F. Scott Fitzgerald of the same name just in case you want to read it before the movie release. Have you seen the trailer? it looks stunning. That's a given for Baz Luhrman.

Les Miserables - Tom Hooper's next movie after the Oscar winning The King's Speech. Powerhouse cast! Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe (also, Sacha Baren Cohen (Borat) and Helena Bonham Carter as the funny couple). What makes it more special? This movie will be presented as a musical (based on the original theatre muscial presentation)!

oo, first movie nya. Excited about the visuals. I wonder how the movie will feel like on visual basis (nakalimutan ko kung anong movie ang last work ng team na gagawa ng visuals)

re: zombadings and oliveros; di hamak naman na mas maganda yung oliveros. zombadings, magaling yung actor. but everything else failed IMO
