eh siyempre ROTC is mandated by the government. but yes, id agree. buti na lang kami may option. i chose CWTS/LTS before.

wala kaming choice eh... the sad part was that we were the last batch who had mandatory ROTC. after the ROTC officer hazing thing in 1995 or 96, dun naging optional yung ROTC, and pumasok yung CWTS.

i reaaaaaaally want to study abroad... if only my company would support me... hehehe!!! ^^p

though the least you can do sa ROTC to evade the scorching hot sun, kahit mas madalas class room instructions (read:sa loob ng malamig na  classrooms), is to join the light duties group 

di daw ako mukhang sakitin... hahahaha!!! ^^p

......uu ako din ROTC pa lang naabutan ko wala pa ang CWTS.....ibibilad kami lahat sa initan tapos pag may na-late hundred push-ups agad.....    actually, wala akong benefit na na-gain dito simple marching lang at paghawak ng riple just the same in high school....

parehas tayo, di rin kinagat ng !@#$ na commandant na may hika ako... though i tried joining the SEALs and able to last the dreaded first day of training where they usually weed out the 'weaker' applicants... napaayaw lang ako nung nalaman ko na whole day pala ang training that lasts the whole term. umuuwi kasi ako ng probinsya and sayang na agad half day ng saturday ko with ROTC.... kaya ko lang gusto sumali dahil ang porma ng uniform, all black

.....yes more training pag sasali ka sa SEALS and other batallion groups na ipinanglalaban sa ibat ibang school.....ok nga ang uniform nila with matching beret....kahit nga sa bivouac di ako nakasali....ang naalala ko lang sa ROTC, pinakita sa amin pano baklasin ang rifle at pano ito ibalik.....ginawang contest pa nga ito pabilisan....may nakagawa ng less than 10 seconds diassemble at assemble na parang 7 seconds ata.....galing nga eh.....
