opinyon ko lang po ulit ha.. ;D

Aside from that reasons presented above, I also think the government looked into the case of Chernobyl. Yung nagkaroon ng leak sa isang nuclear plant in Chernobyl in Ukraine. A super major nuclear disaster happened there in April of 1986. Many people died as the nuclear stuff traveled borders through WIND. :(

Siguro natakot din tayo dun since the moment something wrong happens in bataan, pati yung waters natin damay. :|

safety and environmental issues ang main reason for its closure

If that was the case sayang naman.

Besides may environmental issues din ito that will affect the living organisms in the sea and will pollute the area as well.

Sayang yun kasi more than 2 billion dollars paid to Westinghouse yung nagastos. I believe they've conducted various researches for it to develop. We have lots of things that are bad for the environment such as the vehicles.
Iisang nuclear plant lang yan compared to other countries na inaabot ng 2 digits.

Ang dami ng nasayang like Meralco.
Pati nga ngayon yung mrt at lrt baka privatize na.

here are some of the countries na mayroong nuclear power:

Argentina
Armenia
Belgium
Brazil
Bulgaria
Canada
China (PRC)
Czech Republic
Finland
France
Germany
Hungary
India
Japan
Korea, South (ROK)
Mexico
Netherlands
Pakistan
Romania
Russia
Slovakia
Slovenia
Croatia
South Africa
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Taiwan (ROC)
Ukraine
United Kingdom
United States

Well as they say, there may be disadvantage in any given option. If we choose to live without oil then some people would go bankrupt, lose their jobs etc. while choosing the other one can also lead to  such disadvantages given this source: http://www.brighthub.com/environment/renewable-energy/articles/7730.aspx

What war?
and what do you mean by the inevitable death?
hinde ko gets yung relationship nya with the hydroelectric power plant...

And would you give that responsibility to the current administrations?? of course not. What more kung magkaroon ng war... all the enemy needs to do is bomb the power plant and poof goes manila with radiation. Too risky.

Di ko sigurp na emphasize ng maayos.

Okay sige we will conclude na itong pangyaayring ito ay dulot ng "kamalasan".
My query is solved. I will leave up to the more curious ones.

singit lang ah

Marcos - Media Blackout
Aquino - National Brownout

pinoybrusko

even if Japan and other countries are more sure 100% to secure their nuclear plants, ibang usapan na pag tinamaan ng natural phenomenon like earthquakes and the like.

so, siguro naman malinaw na ang meaning ng safety and environmental issues tungkol sa pagclose ng Bataan Plant  ;D

Ipangalandakan niyo pa ang mga developed countries using this type of power source  :P kahit ang Japan walang magawa sa earthquake
