From what I understand, the devil is Satan, the ultimate evil. So there is only one devil. Demons on the other hand are malignant beings.

Question: Did we just change our national language from Tagalog to Filipino? 

Filipino refers to the people and Tagalog refers to the National Language of Filipinos. Both are different

Exactly. 

But sadly deficiencies in the use of English become a widespread case within the past few years. HS students having good fundamentals about grammar and usage of the language is now a rarity.
