ram013

IBM Shared services- working for IBM account

Jon

4 years ako sa industry.

Qualfon, Phils. (6 months only) = Tracfone Wireless and Net10
Accenture - BPO Capability (3 years and 2 months) = Project Leo

bajuy

im currently working for a financial institution

kakasawa din kausap mga onaks promise  >:(

jazaustria

working in a call center is not a joke. you have to talk for 8 hours a day, 5 times a week for some.....
trying your best to either sell, troubleshoot, etc and sometimes even lie to convince customers and ofcourse deal with stupid people.

yun nga lang, kahit high school grad can easily enter the industry, which is i think, for me, is nakakadegrade kasi kalevel mo high school grad lang? (no offense).

aside from that, wala kami holidays, hindi fixed ang schedule, and sobra mapolitika inside....

the only motivation that we only get is the high compensation..... =((

vir

cguro what we should do is to look for a job that really fits our educational attainment..

jazaustria

I've tried that a lot of times, natatanggap nga ako pero ibang job naman ang inooffer saken! I'm a frustrated MARKETER! sayang ang ideas na naiisip ko! I have a list here..... hehe...

siguro I need to establish my own business so i can put my ideas into reality.....

i have nothing against hi school grads, don't take me wrong.... i just can't help myself being annoyed with what others think of call center agents... most people tend to think that it's an easy job and we can't get into some major companies here in the phillies so we tend to stick with our skill which I admit, i acquired from call centers and that is to speak ENGLISH.

but also, knowing or being ENGLISH literate doesn't justify a person's intelligence.  ;)

vir

so ganun gawin mo,make the most out of it..habang nanjan ka,develop and improve your skills..at pag tingin mo you have enough, try mo uli maghanap ng work outside call center/bpo industry..just keep on trying..

at since malaki sweldo mo..tama iinvest mo yan or ipunin mo para makapagstart ka ng sarili mong business..that's the best option para kumita ng pera..that way, fully magagamit mo na yung marketing skills mo..and the best part of it..ikaw ang boss!..

ram013

There's nothing wrong working in a call center as long as you have a goal. In this type of industry you can develop a lot of your skills aside from your english proficiency.

Like in my case, I started as a CSR but now Im in a management position so my leadership and management skill is being honed. Also, in my current line of work, I have the power to create processes and develop systems so in this case my background in Comp Sci is put into action.

When you work in this industry, you just have to look at it on a different perspective and make the most out of it.

Finally, working in this type on industry is not for no brainers (well I think it depends on the company and the account you are supporting)

Working also in a BPO company kung saan kailangan ng matinding analysis, dahil kung laging may mali yari talaga kay client, okay naman sa ganitong environment kahit na malayo sa tinapos kong kurso na tourism.

alternative09

Alorica aka Vertex Solutions - inbound for Globe telecoms
Influent - outbound sales for HSBC
Eperformax - customer service for PayPal
Sykes Asia - customer service for AT&T
